“ Great Mexican Restaurant. Huge parking space. The restaurant itself is not that big but they have outdoor seating as well. The decor was very cultural, love it. It makes me feel like I am in Mexico eating Mexican food. The prices were really good for the quality and quantity of food you get. I got the Grilled chicken breast dish, it was too salty for my liking. The bean dip and the Carne Asada dish is the best part of our experience here! Flavorful. I just wish that the veggies weren't too cooked, it became soggy and due to discoloration, hard to tell what kind of vegetables were used. Rice was cooked perfectly and you can tell it was made freshly that day!! I hate restaurants that think you can't tell when they have previous day rice served and thankfully they weren't one of those restaurants. Great customer service. ”

“ I've been wanting to try Salsa & Beer for the longest time but I had heard the main one over on Sherman Way had lines and parking was hard to find. My son told me that this location on Vanowen should be easier to place an order to go and find parking. I was surprised that it was easy to find parking on the street and that there was a small parking lot in front of the restaurant that had available spaces. I placed an order to go at the restaurant. The young lady who took my order gave me a big bowl of warm chips and bean dip along with a glass of water while I waited for my order. I felt bad for not eating all of the chips and dip but that would have been a whole meal in itself. I ordered a combo meal with taquitos and beef enchiladas that came with rice and beans plus I ordered a large cup of horchata. The meal came with complimentary chips and dip too. The taquitos were fried with sour cream, guacamole and salsa which I liked. The enchiladas were very good with flavorful shredded beef and a nice sauce. The beans and rice were good too. The family ate some of the chips and dip. They all loved the little bit of kick, the beans and that it was warm. There is so much more for me to try so Beer & Salsa will be on my list for at least one meal on my next trip to LA again. If you want something other than a street taco, come try one of the many different dishes they offer, good home cooking. Great service with nice staff. Bring your appetite, generous portions, you won't be disappointed. ”
